Referring to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s visit to Ukraine, Zelenski also emphasized that strengthening air defense is a top priority, highlighting Ukraine’s urgent need for Patriot air defense systems and the necessary missiles. Zelenski stated, “Patriot systems are for defense purposes. We not only request these systems, but we are also ready to purchase them. This is purely a political issue. Both the systems and the missiles are available worldwide. However, whether they can provide sufficient protection against Russia’s ballistic attacks depends on the political decisions made.”
