Ali Yalçın, the President of Memur-Sen, announced that the service in public institutions will continue according to a letter sent by the Legal and Legislation General Directorate of the Presidency Administrative Affairs Directorate to public institutions. Yalçın made a statement regarding the personnel service that was planned to be abolished as part of austerity measures. In his statement, Ali Yalçın noted: “Our gain of service provided, starting from the 3rd Term Collective Bargaining Agreement as Memur-Sen, was unlawfully blocked by austerity measures and not implemented in some public institutions, causing staff to suffer. Our actions, discussions with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and consultations with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance have yielded results. It has been stated in the letter sent to public institutions by the Legal and Legislation General Directorate of the Presidency Administrative Affairs Directorate that the service will continue.”
