So, who is Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, and how old is he? Mohammed bin Salman was born on August 31, 1985. He is the eldest son of King Salman’s third wife, Fahdah bin Felah bin Sultan, who was a prince at the time. He has only one wife and four children. After graduating from university, bin Salman spent several years in the private sector. He worked as a consultant on the Saudi Cabinet Experts Commission. On December 15, 2009, at the age of 24, while his father was the governor of the Riyadh Region, he entered politics as his father’s private advisor. During this time, he began to move from one position to another, rising from being the secretary general of the Riyadh Competition Council to being the special advisor and board member of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives. In October 2011, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz died. Prince Salman started his rise to power as the second deputy prime minister and defense minister. He made his son Mohammed his private advisor. In June 2012, Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz passed away. Mohammed bin Salman, with his father becoming the new crown prince and first deputy prime minister, rose to second place in the hierarchy. Shortly after, he began to remodel the court in his own image. On March 2, 2013, Prince Saud bin Nayef was appointed as the governor of the Eastern Region, and bin Salman took over his duties. He was also granted the title of minister. On April 25, 2014, bin Salman was appointed as a state minister. On September 27, 2022, Mohammed was appointed as the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia by King Salman. Traditionally, the title of prime minister belongs to the king.
