The White House announced the cancellation of the joint press conference expected between Trump and Netanyahu.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had gone to the US to meet with President Donald Trump, had his press conference with Trump canceled.
According to the statement issued by the White House, the joint press conference with Netanyahu will not take place.
Following his meeting with Trump, Netanyahu’s schedule included an expanded meeting with officials from both sides, including Trump’s Middle East Representative Steve Witkoff.
One of the important topics expected to be discussed during the leaders’ meeting was the 17% additional customs duty imposed by Trump on Israel. Netanyahu had stated, “I am going to discuss hostages, achieving victory in Gaza, and, of course, the customs regime imposed on Israel.”
