Following discussions in Riyadh, the White House announced separate agreements with Russia and Ukraine regarding a ceasefire in the Black Sea.
The White House revealed on Tuesday that separate agreements had been reached with Russia and Ukraine on avoiding military attacks on ships in the Black Sea during talks completed in Saudi Arabia. Statements from the White House emphasized that both countries have agreed to “provide safe passage, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the military use of commercial vessels.” According to the White House, the U.S. has reached an agreement with Ukraine and Russia to ensure maritime security in the Black Sea. Furthermore, the U.S. and Russia agreed on implementing the ceasefire to halt attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine and Russia. “CONTENTS OF THE NEGOTIATIONS WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED”
