Ongoing research continues on the deadline for filing declarations for those earning rental income. Property owners who earn more than 33,000 lira annually from housing in 2024 and over 230,000 lira from a business property will pay income tax. Those earning rental income below the exemption amount will not be required to file a declaration. The declaration process started not long ago, and now the deadline is the focus. So, when will the rental income declaration applications end? There is little time left in the rental declaration process that closely concerns property owners earning income from properties. Declarations, which are mandatory to be filed electronically, will incur a special procedural penalty if not submitted on time. Moreover, failing to accrue tax on time will lead to a penalty equal to the tax amount. Here is the deadline for the 2025 rental income declaration… Property owners earning rental income can file their declarations between March 1st and April 2nd. Property owners can fill out their declarations between March 1st and April 2nd (due to March 31st and April 1st being public holidays). Property owners can fill out the “ready declaration system” on the “gib.gov.tr” website of the Revenue Administration. Additionally, they can access the ready declaration from the Digital Tax Office. Accrued tax can be paid through the Digital Tax Office (digital.gib.gov.tr), bank card/credit card from affiliated banks, bank transfer from bank accounts, cards from banks operating in foreign countries, authorized banks for tax collection, and tax office cashiers, or at PTT branches.
