The expectation survey conducted by AA Finans on the October inflation data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Monday, November 4, concluded with the participation of 16 economists. The average of economists’ inflation expectations for October was 2.46 percent. Economists’ inflation expectations for October ranged from 2 percent to 2.75 percent. According to the average of economists’ inflation expectations for October (2.46 percent), it is predicted that the annual inflation, which was 49.38 percent in the previous month, will decrease to 47.98 percent. Furthermore, economists’ inflation expectation for the end of 2024 was 44.23 percent in October. The Consumer Price Index recorded a 2.97 percent increase in September. According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), when 12-month averages were considered in August, consumer prices increased by 64.91 percent, and domestic producer prices increased by 46.23 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a 2.47 percent increase on a monthly basis in August, while the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) showed a 1.68 percent increase. Annual inflation stood at 51.97 percent for consumer prices and 35.75 percent for domestic producer prices.
