Water Price Increase in Edirne

The water prices in Edirne have been raised by 30%. The regular meeting of the Municipal Council took place in October at the Atatürk Cultural Center under the leadership of Mayor Filiz Gencan Akın. During the meeting, a total of 22 items were discussed and decided upon, including 13 items on the agenda and 9 off-agenda items. The proposal for a 30% increase in water prices was approved by majority vote. Mayor Akın emphasized the need for vigilant use of water. Additionally, it was decided during the meeting to sell 2 plots of land in the Karaağaç and Yeniimaret neighborhoods, as well as a social facility area in the 100th Year Neighborhood owned by the municipality.
