Violent Storm in Spain Claims Lives of 3 People

Sevilla, Spain was hit by a violent storm where a warehouse collapsed, resulting in the loss of three lives.

The Nuria Storm struck the center of the Andalusian autonomous region, Sevilla in Spain. A warehouse with its roof blown off collapsed.

Ambulance and firefighter teams were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, the teams determined that three workers had lost their lives. The Spanish Ministry of Labor and Social Economy initiated an investigation into the incident.

The national weather office of Spain, Aemet, warned that the Nuria Storm, which also affected neighboring Portugal yesterday, would bring strong winds and heavy rainfall to the southern region of Andalusia, issuing an alert for a large part of the southern region.

According to meteorology, Spain, which has received 2.5 times the average monthly rainfall this year, has experienced its 5th storm since the beginning of March. It was noted that these storms, along with the latest 3 deaths, have led to a total of 10 fatalities.
