US 10-Year Bond Yield Hits 7-Month Low

1 Mins Read

The United States saw its 10-year bond yield drop to 3.9150%. This marks the lowest level since October 2024.

The global dilemma of inflation and recession persists.

Concerns about a slowdown in the global economy and increasing inflationary pressures have been heightened by the retaliatory tariffs announced by President Donald Trump on April 2nd against China. The trade disputes between the United States and its major trading partners could trigger inflation in the country, leading to lingering doubts about progress made by the US Federal Reserve in fighting inflation. As risk sentiment increases in bond markets due to these developments, the US 10-year bond yield saw a decline of about 40 basis points in the last trading week, testing the lowest level since October 2024 at 3.9150%.
