Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry have described the situation in the region as “dangerous” due to Israel’s aggression, calling for an immediate halt to the attacks in Gaza and Lebanon. According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Shoukry discussed regional developments and bilateral relations over the phone. The two ministers, labeling the situation in the region as “dangerous,” emphasized the urgent need for “urgent and effective” efforts from the international community, especially Islamic countries, to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza. Moreover, they expressed satisfaction with the positive negotiations between Iranian and Egyptian leaders in recent months, including their meeting at the BRICS Summit held in Russia last week, agreeing to continue these discussions in line with the interests of both countries.
