UNRWA: Supplies running out in Gaza

1 Mins Read

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that supplies in Gaza are running out. In a written statement from UNRWA’s X account, it was highlighted that Israel has been blocking humanitarian aid and commercial supplies from entering the Gaza Strip for over a month. The statement included the following: “UNRWA teams are continuing to deliver aid with the remaining supplies, but stocks are running dangerously low and the situation is worsening. The blockade must be lifted and humanitarian aid entry should be allowed again.” After the end of the 42-day first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, Israel decided to halt the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip starting from March 2. The Israeli army broke the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on the morning of March 18, resuming their intense attacks.
