During a statement to journalists on Air Force One, Trump mentioned that they discussed the distribution of “certain assets” between Russia and Ukraine and stated: “There has been a lot of work done over the weekend. We want to see if we can end this war.”

Trump emphasized that the focus of the agreement is on land and power plants, adding: “Discussions are being held regarding the distribution of certain assets between the two sides.”

US President Donald Trump’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff had previously announced that Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin may meet this week. Witkoff had used the words: “I hope to see real progress in ending the Russia-Ukraine war.”
