Turkish Eximbank to provide 1 billion euros in support for exporters’ green transformation

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat announced that Turkish Eximbank will provide 1 billion euros of financing for exporters over a 10-year period to facilitate their adaptation to the ‘European Union Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism’.

Minister Bolat shared the statement of Turkish Eximbank on his social media account, emphasizing the importance given to digital economy and green transformation in alignment with global trade transformation goals. He stated that they will continue to support exporters throughout this process. Bolat noted, “Turkish Eximbank will provide 1 billion euros of financing over a 10-year period with the International Development Bank guarantee for exporters to adapt to the European Union Border Carbon Adjustment Mechanism within the framework of green transformation goals. I wish this will bring prosperity to our exporters.

As the ministry, we will continue to implement plans and programs that enhance Turkey’s competitiveness in the global trade market and support our exporters.”
