Following the recent Israeli army attacks on Gaza, numerous protesters wearing keffiyehs and carrying Palestinian flags gathered outside the White House.
Palestinian supporters in the US gathered in front of the White House to protest against Israel’s attacks on Gaza. The demonstrators called on the Trump administration to stop its weapon support to Israel and expressed their outrage at Israel’s attacks on Gaza. The protesters chanted slogans such as “Immediate arms embargo!” and “End this occupation now!”
IGNORED CEASEFIRE
After the ceasefire that came into effect on January 19 in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army resumed its violent attacks yesterday morning. In the air strikes carried out by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip on the morning of March 18, at least 400 people, mostly women and children, lost their lives, and over 500 Palestinians were injured. The Israeli army announced the resumption of large-scale attacks on Gaza following instructions from the political leadership. The Office of the Israeli Prime Minister stated that the attacks were initiated under the instructions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz. Israel, violating the ceasefire, declared that it would act against Hamas with “increasing military force.” In response, Hamas stated that Israel “did not keep its promises and reinitiated genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by failing to fulfill its responsibilities in front of the mediator countries to the ceasefire.” “COMPLETE DECEIT”
The families of Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip accused the Netanyahu government of “betraying the captives” by restarting the war and using the return of captives as a pretext. They stated that it was a “complete deceit” for the government to justify restarting the attacks by not returning the captives. Opposition parties in Israel also highlighted the resumption of attacks overshadowed by controversial political moves such as Prime Minister Netanyahu’s dismissal of the Shin Bet Director of Internal Intelligence.
