President of the United States, Donald Trump, defended that the Russia-Ukraine War began with former President Joe Biden and Ukraine State President Volodymyr Zelensky, stating, “You can’t start a war against someone 20 times bigger than you and then hope for people to give you missiles.” President Trump made statements regarding the Russia-Ukraine War during the meeting with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele at the White House. Trump spoke cautiously about the process between Russia and Ukraine, stating that his sole purpose is to end this war as soon as possible and to reach an agreement between the parties. Trump reiterated the claim that the war started because of these two individuals by saying, “The mistake was allowing this war to start. If Biden and Zelensky were competent, this war wouldn’t have happened.” Continuing his statement, Trump said, “This was Biden’s war, and I am trying to stop it, and I think we are doing a good job.” Trump criticized the Ukrainian government, stating that when you start a war, you should know that you can win that war, and you can’t expect people to give you missiles after starting a war against a country 20 times bigger than you. “I’M NOT SAYING ANYONE IS AN ANGEL” Trump argued that if he had won the 2020 elections, the Russia-Ukraine War would never have started, and Russian President Vladimir Putin wouldn’t have engaged in a war during his presidency. Trump expressed, “Biden could have stopped it, Zelensky could have stopped it, Putin should never have started this war.” He added, “Look at Zelensky, he kept asking for more, this war should never have happened. Look at Putin. If I were president, he would never have (started the war) but I’m not saying anyone is an angel.” President Trump’s Special Representative Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Putin last week in Moscow, announcing that the White House meeting went positively and constructively.
