1 Mins Read

President Trump suggested paying overtime to two astronauts stranded in space. Trump stated, “Nobody told me about this. If we have to pay for it, I’ll pay for it out of my own pocket.” President Donald Trump proposed paying “overtime” to astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams stranded at the International Space Station. During a press briefing in the Oval Office, a journalist reminded Trump that astronauts normally earn $1,430 in overtime. Trump responded, “Nobody told me about this. If we have to pay for it, I’ll pay for it out of my own pocket. Okay, I’ll do it for them.” Trump then thanked Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX, for bringing the astronauts back to Earth. The two astronauts who have been stranded at the International Space Station (ISS) for about 9 months returned to Earth on March 18th via SpaceX’s Dragon capsule.
