Trump Files $10 Billion Lawsuit for Program with Harris’ Interview

November 1, 20242 Mins Read

Former US President and November 5 candidate Donald Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against American CBS television.

Trump alleges that the channel deliberately edited the interview with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris misleadingly.

CBS News stated that Trump’s lawsuit against the news channel is completely baseless and they will fight against this claim till the end.

According to the lawsuit filed by Trump’s lawyers in federal court in Amarillo, Texas, CBS was accused of crossing the line by manipulatively acting to cover up Harris’ “rambling weakness”. The lawsuit claimed that the main edit by CBS was done “intentionally” to “assist his opponent and mislead the public”, putting Trump at an unfair disadvantage. The lawsuit also alleged that millions of Americans, including residents of Texas, had their heads confused and misled with two different versions of the manipulated interviews, demanding $10 billion in compensation for the damages suffered by Trump. CBS denied the allegations stating that Trump’s claims are entirely baseless and there was no fictional manipulation in the records as alleged.

The statement from CBS News emphasized that Trump’s accusations against the 60 Minutes program are false and there was no manipulation in the recordings as claimed. It was explained that the questioning and answers directed at Harris in the interview were the same, and the editing into “short and long” versions was done to comply with time constraints in different programs.
