In his announcement yesterday, President Donald Trump stated that they are in discussions with four different potential buyers for TikTok’s U.S. operations. According to a report in Bloomberg, speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said, “We are speaking with four different groups, and many people want this.” Trump did not disclose the names of the candidates looking to purchase TikTok. Last week, Trump also stated that he was open to extending the deadline for the deal beyond April 5th if necessary. The new owner of TikTok is expected to be determined by April.
