9 people lost their lives in the Tropical Cyclone Jude that hit Mozambique and Malawi. The Mozambique National Disaster Management Institute reported that 6 people died and 20 were injured in the aftermath of Cyclone Jude. It was reported that 9,525 people were displaced due to the cyclone in the Nampula, Niasa, and Zambezia regions. In Malawi, authorities stated that 3 people died and 20,000 people were left homeless due to the intense rainfall brought by the cyclone. The Malawi Department of Disaster Management noted that the homeless individuals were being taken to evacuation centers.
