Transition to Online Training for Business Safety

1 Mins Read

As of today, tradesmen will be able to complete occupational health and safety training online. Turkey Tradesmen and Artisans Confederation (TESK) and Labor and Social Security Training and Research Center (ÇASGEM) have signed a protocol for occupational health and safety (OHS) training. TESK President Palandöken announced that OHS training can now be easily completed through the online system. According to the protocol, tradesmen and employees who successfully complete the 16-hour training by entering the confederation’s official website will be entitled to receive the necessary certificate. Palandöken stated, “If a tradesman says, ‘I don’t need this certificate, I have my son, daughter, or employee in my business, let them take it,’ then the relevant person can receive the training.” Since the training will be conducted entirely in an electronic environment, there will be no loss of work and no need to close the shop. Palandöken mentioned that OHS certificates were previously issued at high prices, around 8-10 thousand lira, but with the collaboration between TESK and ÇASGEM, they are making it accessible to tradesmen at a symbolic amount of 250 lira.
