A helicopter crash occurred in Spain. Yesterday morning in the town of Puçol in the Valencia region, a Bell 206B Jet Ranger III helicopter owned by Spanish operator Bigas Grup Helikopterleri collided with high voltage lines and crashed around 10:00 local time.
As a result of the accident, three people on board the helicopter lost their lives.
They were inspecting the voltage lines.
It was reported that the crash occurred while the three crew members inside the helicopter were inspecting the integrity of the voltage lines in the area.
Firefighters cordoned off the area to monitor the electrical risk from the severed cables and to control the risk of fire due to fuel.
The cause of the helicopter colliding with the high voltage line in the field is currently under investigation.
