Tornados that struck 4 states in the US have claimed the lives of 14 people. The tornadoes have left behind significant damage, with severe thunderstorms and a high tornado risk expected to continue into tonight. The US was hit by a tornado, impacting the central and southern regions throughout the night. At least 14 people lost their lives as the tornadoes caused extensive damage. Meteorologists from the National Weather Service reported that a low-pressure system caused powerful storms in certain areas of Arkansas, Illinois, Mississippi, and Missouri, resulting in 26 tornadoes from late yesterday into early today, although this has yet to be confirmed. David Roth, a meteorologist, stated, “There is a high risk for more tornadoes in Alabama and Mississippi today. The likelihood is 30%, which is quite significant.” Weather forecasters noted that as the storms regain strength, the highest tornado and severe thunderstorm risk is expected tonight. According to the National Weather Service, the storm will move eastward throughout the day and reach the Florida Panhandle and Atlanta by midnight.
