In Turkey, sales of fully electric cars rose by 42.7% to 69,744 units from January to October. During this period, Togg remained as the market leader with a 31% share. A total of 20,140 Togg cars were sold within 10 months. In the Turkish electric car market, Togg secured the top position in brand rankings with 20,140 units sold and a 31% market share over the first 10 months of the year. According to data from the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), total sales of cars and light commercial vehicles decreased by 1.2% to 947,166 units from January to October compared to the same period last year. Car sales increased by 0.2% to 750,935 units, while light commercial vehicle sales decreased by 6.3% to 196,231 units during this period. Sales Approached 70,000 Units in 10 Months In the January to October period, sales of “fully electric” cars reached 69,744, a 42.7% increase. The share of fully electric cars in total sales rose from 6.5% to 9.3% compared to the same period last year, while the share of hybrid cars increased from 10.7% to 16.9%. When considering “fully electric,” “extended-range electric,” and “hybrid” vehicles, it was observed that electric motor-equipped cars made up 26.2% of the total market. 13,000 Unit Gap to Closest Competitor According to ODMD data, Togg maintained its leadership in the electric car market during the first 10 months of the year. Togg outsold its closest competitor by 12,773 units, recording a market share of 31% for electric cars during this period. This means that one out of every 3 electric cars sold carried the Togg logo. Top Selling Brands When looking at the electric car market by brand from January to October, Togg was followed by Tesla with 7,367 units sold and BMW with 6,576 units sold. KG Mobility (Ssangyong) ranked fourth with 3,982 units, while Mercedes-Benz took the fifth spot with 3,931 units sold. Looking at models, the sales ranking for this period was as follows: Togg T10X, Tesla Model Y, KG Mobility Torres, BMW X1, and Mercedes EQB. October Sales In October, Togg topped the full electric car market with 3,091 sales out of 8,341 units. BMW came in second with 557 sales, followed by Mini and KG Mobility (Ssangyong) at 425 each. Tesla ranked fourth with 340 sales, while Hyundai IONIQ 5 took the fifth spot with 302 sales.
