Criticism towards President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s leadership at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to escalate in the US. Demonstrations named “Hands Off” were organized nationwide, particularly in the capital Washington and New York, drawing tens of thousands of citizens. At Washington Monument park, crowds gathered with American flags, banners, and signs expressing dissent against Trump’s administration policies. Protesters voiced their concerns with slogans like “Hands off democracy,” “Impeach Trump,” “Elon Musk, you are a traitor,” and “Deport hate” targeting the practices of the Trump administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) led by billionaire Elon Musk. In New York, despite heavy rain, thousands of demonstrators, particularly at Bryant Park, filled the squares to protest against the Trump administration. Additionally, objections were raised against billionaire Elon Musk’s policies as head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
