The total size of domestic and foreign financial assets in Turkey has hit a record high for the first time, exceeding 35 trillion liras.

The Capital Markets Association of Turkey (TSPB) announced that as of the end of February, the total financial assets reached 35 trillion 339 billion liras. Domestic investors’ financial assets are at the level of 31.3 trillion lira, with 11.9 trillion liras in deposits. Foreign currency deposits amount to 6.2 trillion lira, and Domestic Government Bonds owned by residents are also at a size of 6.2 trillion lira…

The domestic investor also holds 3.5 trillion liras in stocks.
