In March, the product with the highest price increase was potatoes with 42.1%. Meanwhile, air transportation decreased by 18.13%. The highest price increase in consumer prices in March was seen in potatoes with 42.1%, while the title of the most affordable category was determined as air transportation with a decrease of 18.13% in passenger transportation by air. According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the price increase in potatoes was followed by products related to pets with 23.85% and lotteries with 22.82%. Among the other products that showed the highest price increase in March were fresh vegetables (excluding potatoes) with 19.9%, fresh fruits with 11.21%, cigarettes with 10.85%, and breakfast cereal products with 10.73%.
The MOST DECREASED PRODUCTS
Last month, the most significant price decrease of 18.13% occurred in passenger transportation by air. This was followed by 5.28% decrease in intercity passenger transportation by road, 4.76% decrease in children’s clothing, 4.57% decrease in women’s clothing, and 2.74% decrease in butter.
