The most crucial agenda in the new term of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) will be the economy.
The TBMM will commence its new term on October 1st.
Speaker of the Parliament Numan Kurtulmuş will share his messages regarding the new term in an evaluation meeting on September 30th. On October 1st, Tuesday, the opening session of the Parliament will take place, with all members present. CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR TO MAKE A PRESENTATION
The first agenda in the Parliament’s session will be the economy. Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan will make a presentation to the members of the Planning and Budget Commission on October 3rd. The presentation will evaluate the latest economic developments. It is expected that Governor Karahan will deliver a comprehensive presentation on global developments, the Turkish economy, inflation, and monetary policy. THE SECOND ECONOMY TOPIC IS THE BUDGET
The second economic topic in the Parliament will be the 2025 budget. The budget is expected to be referred to the Parliament in October. Discussions on the 2025 budget final account law will start first in the Planning and Budget Commission. Discussions in the General Assembly will be completed by the end of the year.
