Violent rains in southern Texas have resulted in the loss of 3 lives and the rescue of over 200 individuals.
Reports indicate that Harlingen city recorded over 21 inches of rainfall, with the intensifying downpour causing severe flooding.
Officials have announced that over 200 people have been rescued so far, with at least 200 more awaiting evacuation.
Harlingen Mayor Norma Sepulveda, speaking at a press conference yesterday afternoon, stated, “This has been a historic and challenging event for the city. However, Harlingen is resilient. We have faced difficulties before, and we will overcome this together.”
