1 Mins Read

The Syrian Presidency has announced an agreement reached for the inclusion of SDG in state institutions. Signed in Damascus between Syrian President Ahmed Shaar and Mazlum Abdi, the agreement consists of eight clauses. According to the agreement, the Kurdish community will be guaranteed constitutional protection as part of Syria. Border crossings, oil, and gas fields will come under the administration of the Syrian state.

Efforts will be made to combat all threats to Syria’s security and unity. The eight clauses of the agreement are as follows: 1. Ensuring the representation and political participation rights of all Syrians regardless of religious or ethnic background based on merit. 2. Recognizing the Kurdish community as an integral part of Syria and securing their constitutional rights. 3. Ceasefire throughout all Syrian territories. 4. Integration of all civilian and military institutions in northeast Syria, including border crossings, airports, oil, and gas fields, under state administration. 5. Ensuring the safe return of all displaced Syrians to their homeland under state protection. 6. Supporting Syria in combating threats to the remnants and security and unity of Assad. 7. Rejecting calls for division, hate speech, and efforts to cause discord. 8. Implementation committees will work to enforce the agreement by the end of the year.
