The defense of a 13-year-old girl who stabbed two teachers and a student at a school in the UK has left people in disbelief. A horrific incident took place in a school in Carmarthenshire, Wales, last April, during a break where the 13-year-old student stabbed three people, two of whom were teachers. One teacher was seriously injured and had to be airlifted for medical help, while the other two managed to escape with minor wounds. Prosecutor William Hughes stated that the 14-year-old defendant admitted to bringing sharp objects into the school but denied the charge of attempted murder.
During the trial, it was revealed that the severely injured teacher was stabbed in the neck, back, arms, and legs. The shocking claim that the 13-year-old defendant said she committed the attack to become famous left everyone stunned, as she was quoted saying, “I was sure the incident would make the headlines. This meant that all eyes would be on me.”
The defendant, who has been held in a Young Offenders Institution since April, will continue to stand trial on Wednesday.
