The Istanbul stock exchange started the first trading day of the week with a decline. The BIST 100 index traded at 9,606.37 points with a 0.55% loss. In the Istanbul stock exchange, the BIST 100 index began the week with a 0.55% decline at 9,606.37 points.On the opening, the BIST 100 index dropped to 9,606.37 points with a decrease of 53.10 points and 0.55% from the previous closing. The banking index lost 0.54%, while the holding index lost 0.65% in value. Among the sector indices, sports gained the most with 1.79%, and financial leasing factoring lost the most with 0.83%. On the last trading day before Eid al-Fitr domestically, the Istanbul stock exchange followed a buying-weighted trend. The BIST 100 index completed the day with a 0.49% gain, reaching 9,659.48 points. Global markets are experiencing mixed trends due to the ongoing uncertainties regarding the tariffs expected to be announced by US President Donald Trump today. Analysts mention that the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) domestically and the ADP private sector employment in the US and a speech by Christine Lagarde, the President of the European Central Bank (ECB), in the Eurozone will be monitored today. They note that technically, the support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,600 and 9,500 points, with resistance levels at 9,750 and 9,850.
