The BIST 100 index on the Borsa Istanbul began the day with a 0.21% increase at 9,444 points. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 20.12 points and 0.21% to reach 9,444 points compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 0.12%, while the holding index increased by 0.22%. Following a predominantly buying trend yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a 0.45% gain at 9,424 points. Among sector indices, financial leasing factoring had the highest increase with 2.83%, while real estate investment trust was the only one to lose with a 0.86% decrease. The positive trend in global markets, driven by increased optimism towards negotiations following the US’s decision to postpone trade tariffs, is also affecting domestic markets. Analysts stated that today, the domestic budget balance will be monitored, while in foreign markets, the ZEW economic sentiment index in Germany and the Eurozone, as well as the New York Fed manufacturing index in the US, will be important. Analysts also pointed out that the speech of European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde is in focus for investors, mentioning that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,600 and 9,700 points and the support levels are at 9,400 and 9,300 points.
