The BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 1.76% increase at 9,462.68 points. The positive trend continues in the stock market on the second day of the week. At the opening, the BIST 100 index rose by 163.32 points and 1.76% to reach 9,462.68 points compared to the previous closing. The banking index gained 3.15% and the holding index increased by 1.32%. Banks were the most profitable among sector indices, while securities investment partnerships were the only ones to lose with a 0.44% decrease. In the domestic market, BIST 100 index closed the day at 9,299.36 points with a 2.82% increase after following a buying-weighted trend in Borsa Istanbul yesterday. In the global markets, President Donald Trump’s tariff decisions continue to make it difficult for markets to find direction. Uncertainties regarding the effects of the United States’ protectionist trade stance, as well as the dilemma of inflation and recession worldwide, remain key agenda items for economies. Analysts noted that technically, the resistance levels for the BIST 100 index are at 9,500 and 9,600, while the support levels are at 9,400 and 9,300 points.
