An adverse outlook continues in Borsa Istanbul. Throughout the day, the BIST 100 index followed a volatile trajectory with accelerated selling towards the closing. The index plunged to 8,894 points, hitting the lowest level in six months.

The BIST 100 index dropped to 8,894 points, reaching the lowest level in six months. With afternoon purchases coming up from the bottom, BIST 100 rose above 9,000 points, showing an increase of over 1%. However, the gains could not be sustained for long. The index reached its highest point of 9,159 points during the day.
As selling intensified towards the closing, BIST 100 turned negative again.
The index dropped by 1.24% to 8,894 points. Losses in the banking index exceeded 3%.
Analysts noted that the resistance levels were at 9,150 and 9,300 points, while the support levels were at 9,000 and 8,700 points.
