Showing a downward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index dropped to 8,829.57 points, a decrease of 30.72 points from the previous closing by 13:00. The total trading volume was 27.2 billion liras. While the banking index lost 1.53%, the holding index gained 0.21%. Construction was the sector with the highest increase at 1.54%, and banking experienced the most significant decline. After following a buying-oriented trajectory yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul ended the day at 8,860.30 points, a 1.85% gain. Analysts noted that the 8,710 and 8,475 points are support levels, while 8,900 and 9,000 levels are considered resistance for the BIST 100 index.
