EXPORTS SPEED UP TO PALESTINE The sector’s highest export increase of 48 million 470 thousand dollars was made to Palestine. In export increase, Spain followed Palestine with 44 million 983 thousand dollars, Romania with 39 million 575 thousand dollars, Italy with 35 million 740 thousand dollars, and Portugal with 22 million 378 thousand dollars. The sector, during this period, carried out exports of 48 million 626 thousand dollars to Palestine and 27 million 982 thousand dollars to Portugal. ISTANBUL TAKES THE LION’S SHARE When looked at on a provincial basis, Istanbul companies made the most exports in the steel sector last month with 641 million 269 thousand dollars. Istanbul was followed by Hatay with 196 million 87 thousand dollars, Kocaeli with 106 million 87 thousand dollars, Ankara with 103 million 329 thousand dollars, and Bursa with 93 million 504 thousand dollars.
