Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq (KRG), made a statement on the meeting he had with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum through his social media account.

Barzani stated that the meeting was “extremely productive” and emphasized the importance of reviving the peace process in Turkey as a path towards stability and lasting peace. He highlighted the need to seize this historic opportunity and urged the PKK to respond positively to Ocalan’s call.

Furthermore, Barzani mentioned that during the meeting, the significance of the dialogue and peace carried out by President Erdogan with the DEM Party delegation was emphasized.

A statement by the KRG Presidency on the meeting highlighted that Erdogan and Barzani discussed all dimensions of Turkey’s relations with Iraq and the KRG, particularly focusing on the Development Way Project. The common desire to further develop collaboration that considers mutual interests was once again confirmed by both parties.
