Following the unsuccessful declaration of martial law in South Korea, state president Yoon Suk Yeol has been released from custody. According to Yonhap, the Seoul Central District Court accepted Yoon’s appeal against the arrest warrant, arguing that the indictment related to martial law was illegal.
After Yoon’s release, his supporters gathered in front of the presidential residence in Seoul to organize a demonstration, as reported by Yonhap.
