The space transportation company owned by Elon Musk, SpaceX, achieved the first human space flight to Earth’s polar orbit. Crypto billionaire Chun Wang, who was the mission commander, along with Norwegian cinematographer Jannicke Mikkelsen, Australian polar researcher Eric Philips, and German robotic researcher Rabea Rogge, were aboard the ‘Dragon’ spacecraft carried by the ‘Falcon-9’ rocket launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The first-stage booster of the Falcon 9 rocket, equipped with reusability feature, landed on an unmanned platform named ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’ in the Atlantic Ocean shortly after launch. In a statement regarding the returning space tourists by SpaceX, it was mentioned that “Dragon and Fram2 completed the first human space flight mission to explore Earth’s polar regions by landing on the coasts of California early today.” This journey holds the distinction of being the first human space journey to circumnavigate the Earth over both the North and South Poles.
