SpaceX Achieves an All-Time First: Manned Spaceflight to Polar Orbit

2 Mins Read

SpaceX has successfully completed the first manned spaceflight to Earth’s polar orbit with the “Fram2” mission. The team, including crypto billionaire Chun Wang, will conduct 22 experiments in space.

Within the scope of the “Fram2” mission, SpaceX carried out the first manned spaceflight to Earth’s polar orbit. The Dragon spacecraft, carrying four civilian astronauts including crypto billionaire Chun Wang, was successfully launched with the Falcon-9 rocket.

SpaceX, owned by American billionaire Elon Musk, accomplished the first manned spaceflight to Earth’s polar orbit with the “Fram2” mission. The Dragon spacecraft, carrying mission commander crypto billionaire Chun Wang, Norwegian cinematographer Jannicke Mikkelsen, Australian polar explorer Eric Philips, and German robotic researcher Rabea Rogge, was launched successfully from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA, at 21:46 local time. The Falcon-9 rocket’s first stage booster, with a reusability feature, landed on the unmanned platform named “A Shortfall of Gravitas”, located in the Atlantic Ocean shortly after launch.

CONDUCTING 22 EXPERIMENTS

During the mission expected to last between 3 to 5 days, the astronauts will reach an altitude of 422 kilometers and will repeatedly move from the North Pole to the South Pole. It was announced that the team, progressing in an orbit with an inclination between 60 to 90 degrees, will have the opportunity to investigate the North and South Pole regions that humans have not fully observed from the International Space Station (ISS) before. It was reported that the astronauts will conduct 22 experiments aimed at improving human health and performance in space for future long-duration missions. The mission, with an undetermined end date, will conclude with a landing in the Pacific Ocean off the Southern California coast.
