In the United States, a small plane carrying six people crashed. Initial reports indicate that one person died in the accident. It was reported that the plane did not hit any structures when it went down in a field near Copake in New York City on Saturday. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, who made a statement about the incident, did not provide information on how many passengers survived the crash. According to CBS News, Jacqueline Salvatore from the Sheriff’s Office stated that the plane did not hit any structures when it crashed and that reaching the scene was difficult due to “muddy conditions.” Salvatore added that the cause of the accident has not yet been clearly determined.

According to information shared about the incident, the Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and fire departments responded after a report made around noon local time yesterday. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reported that a Mitsubishi MU-2B-40 model small plane took off to go to the Columbia County Airport in Hudson. FlightAware data revealed that a similar model airplane took off from Westchester County Airport around 11:30 am and was scheduled to land at 12:06 pm. The National Transportation Safety Board will be conducting the investigation into the crash, with a team from the board going to the site.
On April 10, six people died as a result of a helicopter crash in the Hudson River in New York. The victims of the crash were reported to be Siemens Mobility’s Railway Infrastructure Senior Executive Agustin Escobar, his wife Merce Camprubi Montal, their three children, and the helicopter pilot.
