Construction production in Turkey decreased by 0.3% on a monthly basis in February. On an annual basis, production increased by 12.7%. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) released the construction production index for February. According to the data, the index recorded a 12.7% year-on-year increase in February. When the sub-sectors of construction are examined, the index showed a 14.9% increase in building construction sector, a 10.3% increase in construction of non-building structures, and a 7.1% increase in special construction activities compared to the same month last year. The construction production index decreased by 0.3% on a monthly basis in February. The index showed a 0.9% decrease in the building construction sector compared to the previous month, a 0.2% decrease in construction of non-building structures, while special construction activities increased by 1.6%.
