Tripartite talks on Iran’s nuclear program involving Russia, Iran, and China will take place in Moscow tomorrow.
The announcement regarding the matter was made by Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry. In her statement to RIA Novosti, Zaharova mentioned that the discussions will be conducted at an expert level.
The upcoming meeting was also announced by Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Bageri. According to the Iranian state news agency IRNA, Bageri stated, “Today and tomorrow, we will have another tripartite meeting in Moscow with China, Russia, and Iran to discuss various aspects concerning the nuclear issue, the agreement, and Resolution 2231.”
TRUMP SENT A LETTER
In March, US President Donald Trump sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, granting a two-month extension for a new nuclear deal.
In response, Iran conveyed their willingness to engage in negotiations indirectly through a letter. While the American President threatened Iran with “unprecedented bombardments” for refusing to cooperate, Iran pledged to respond in a fitting manner.
Global media reported that Washington has requested Moscow to mediate in this matter.
