Tripartite discussions on Iran’s nuclear program will take place tomorrow in Moscow among Russia, Iran, and China.
The announcement regarding the matter was made by Maria Zaharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry. Zaharova stated to RIA Novosti that the discussions would be conducted at the level of experts.
The upcoming meeting was also announced by Ismail Bageri, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry. According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, Bageri mentioned, “Today and tomorrow, we will hold another trilateral meeting in Moscow involving China, Russia, and Iran to discuss various aspects related to the nuclear issue, the agreement, and Resolution 2231.”
TRUMP SENT A LETTER
In March, US President Donald Trump sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, granting a two-month deadline for a new nuclear deal.
Iran responded with a letter indicating its willingness to negotiate only indirectly. While the American President threatened Iran with “unprecedented bombings” for refusing to cooperate, Iran pledged to respond accordingly.
The world press reported that Washington requested Moscow to mediate in this matter.
