Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries from the flood. However, the financial damage is significant. The mayor of Paros said that heavy machinery was needed to clear the roads. Similar images came from the tourist island of Mykonos. Authorities urged residents, especially on Paros and Mykonos, not to leave their homes. As a precaution, many islands also paused education. The National Meteorological Service warns that the storm, reaching speeds of up to 74 kilometers per hour, will continue to have an impact.
