Dr. Salah el-Berdevil, a member of Hamas’ Political Bureau, and his wife lost their lives in an attack carried out by Israel in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Hamas released a statement on the social media platform Telegram, announcing that Political Bureau member Dr. Salah el-Berdevil, who was also a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, and his wife were killed in an airstrike. The statement emphasized that the blood of Berdevil, his wife, and all Palestinian martyrs will fuel the struggle for salvation and return. It was emphasized that Israel’s actions will not affect the determination and resilience of Palestinians, and it was noted that with each martyr falling, the flames of resistance will burn brighter.
KILLED DURING PRAYER According to Reuters news agency, Hamas stated that Berdevil and his wife were hit by an Israeli missile while praying in their tents. Israeli officials have not yet made a statement. The Israeli army violated the cease-fire agreement that started on January 19 and resumed attacks on Gaza.
