Mongolia has reported its second case of meningitis within the year 2025.
According to the announcement by the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), the disease developed as a result of an infection caused by the ‘Neisseria meningitidis’ bacterium.
Officials warned parents to be cautious of symptoms of meningitis such as headache, fever, neck stiffness, nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound in their children, and urged them to seek urgent medical help.
