The second-highest daily export figure in the history of the Republic was reached in goods exports yesterday. On Friday, $2.065 billion worth of goods were exported.
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat announced that the second-highest daily export figure in the history of the Republic was achieved in goods exports. Minister Bolat shared the record-breaking achievement in daily exports on his social media account. Bolat stated that the entrance to the Ramadan Eid would be with a great success in exports and said, “A holiday gift in daily exports. The second-highest daily export figure in the history of the Republic for goods exports has been achieved. The $2.065 billion daily goods export figure that took place on Friday is now written as the highest second daily export figure in the 101-year history of the Republic.”
“EXPORT CONTINUES TO DRIVE GROWTH” Bolat pointed out that the momentum of growth in exports is continuing and stated: “In an environment where international protectionism has increased significantly, our goods and services exports continue to be the driving force of our country’s economy and economic growth. Our goods and services exports, which our governments have managed to increase by 7.5 times in the last 22 years to $377 billion in line with the goal set by our esteemed President as the future horizon of our country ‘Turkey will be the Century of Trade,’ continue to contribute positively to production and employment increases, reduction in unemployment, and positive contributions to our country with the foreign exchange it brings in terms of foreign trade and the current account. On this occasion, we wholeheartedly thank all our exporters for their dedicated export successes.
