In addition to retirees from the SSK, Bağ-Kur, and the Retirement Fund, champion athletes, widows, orphans receiving allowances, beneficiaries of elderly benefits, relatives of martyrs, veterans, civilians affected by terrorism, and other eligible individuals will receive bonuses both during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Payment days will be determined after the work to be done by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Bonus payments will be completed before the holiday. Eid al-Fitr will begin on March 30. If approved, it will be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect. The bill proposing that the retirement holiday bonus, amounting to 4,000 lira, will benefit approximately 15.5 million retirees has been approved in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Budget Committee. The bill will be discussed in the Parliament’s General Assembly. After the bill is passed, the payment program will be finalized. The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, made an important statement regarding bonus payments. Işıkhan said that once the bill passes in the Parliament, the bonuses will be deposited into the retirees’ accounts. The Eid al-Fitr retirement bonuses are expected to be deposited into accounts between March 24-28. Payment dates for retirement bonuses from the SSK, Bağ-Kur, and the Retirement Fund will be determined based on allocation numbers. AK Party Group Leader Güler announced that the retirement holiday bonus has been increased from 3,000 lira to 4,000 lira. In addition to the 16 million retirees, widows, orphans receiving allowances, and beneficiaries of elderly benefits will also be able to receive bonuses. Widows and orphans receiving allowances will receive bonuses at rates of 75%, 50%, and 25% based on their shares. Widows and orphans receiving allowances, beneficiaries of elderly benefits, disabled individuals, those receiving permanent disability income due to work accidents, relatives of martyrs, combat veterans, security guards, champion athletes, and civilians affected by terrorism will be eligible to receive bonuses.
